Interesting piece for sure.

Lots of trial pieces in that auction. Not sure what value they have over standard coins

Not just trial pattern, there are some without the trial marks.  These were made in Silver 1 OZ 2pounds also and for the years 2021,2022 & 2023 but only sold in America not the UK and only to one client or distributor (Exclusive deal). I think are pretty rare items though.

A few of us on here have since got some from the trial of the pyx.

It seems more likely that they were bought by a US investment company rather than a distributor as they do not seem to be readily available even in the US.
