Quick Tip Templates for listings

This section has some templates for listings in various formats.  These are made by cutting and pasting table structures from MS word into the listing; you can select and cut/paste into your own listings.  If you use these templates you can get more individual items onto a page and visible at once.  Word can give the tables outlines, although when I do this, I make the outlines invisible.  In each of the templates you can see one with the outlines visible and one without.

The rich text renderer in this editor can display some items that the editor that comes with Invision won't let you enter, and it will also let you cut and paste items from other systems into it, which is how I got these across from MS word.

These templates are designed to drop individual pictures of coins into, with obverse and reverse.  If you do individual coins, crop pictures of both sides of the coin to the same dimensions (in pixels) or close, otherwise it will look a bit wonky.  Also, the pictures can be as large as you like; the grid will display the pictures the smae size but people can see the pictures at full size by clicking on the pictures.  

You can do similar things for other picture formats. If you want something else whipped up we can add it here (within the limits of that Invision can do.

 

You can also do this with google docs.

Yes, it doesn't work very well from spreadsheets.  Also, it works best if you cut and paste the table template and then put the items in one by one in the Invision editor.

If you merge the cells with the blurb, you can have a single title that covers both the obverse and reverse pics, e.g. below

Also, it pays attention to dimensions in the stuff you're cutting and pasting.  Try starting with a landscape page and making the table on that, then cutting and pasting the table from there.
