Trial of the Pyx 2021 ER 95th Birthday 2 Ounce Proof. Keep or Return..?

Recommended Posts

Just received my Trial of the Pyx coins from the RM. The 50p is fine, and I'd be cool with fingerprints and a few scratches or marks....but this 2 ounce ER 95th Birthday coin is scratched to pieces! None of these marks are smudges or fingerprints, they are all scratches. Should I keep or return.......? Even though I love the coin and the idea of what it's been through....it is a very scratched specimen. More like the Nuremberg trials than the Pyx trials..!!

It's unfortunate to get one like that, but I don't think it's grounds to demand a quality return. Coins that go into the trial are loose in paper bags all jingling about next to each other, and then might get further mistreatment when they are actually inspected.

But they should accept a return due to a change of mind anyway, so there should be no problem!
