Where Do You Guys Check Gold Prices In Pakistan?

Recommended Posts

Hi ZainHaider, welcome to the forum, as you posted your query 12 hours ago, I will give it a go, there are others on here who are far more experienced and if I get it wrong I am sure they will help!

Basically the price (value) of gold is set worldwide, so no one country will have its "own" price, this worldwide price is known as " spot price" and can be seen as at the top of this forum or by searching for gold price and several options to track it live will come up, this will be in ounces or grams, this gives you the basic price and will fluctuate from minute to minute as dealings go on in the world, so the value of gold will be the same in Pakistan as in the UK. There are differences in what gold will COST you from country to country, these differences will be created by such things as taxes in the country and different sellers premiums, this will also be seen with different dealers within those countries, so it is possible to buy gold cheaper in other countries but then you have got, carriage cost, insurance and import duties etc etc but the basic value of the gold will be the same gram for gram or ounce for ounce.

I think I have got that about right but others, I am sure, can clarify and expand on this.

You will need to take the spot price, usually working in US dollars and covert to rupees, watch for the exchange rate!
