Chinese Panda's

They're very popular coins to collect so there's greater profit to be made if they increase the price because people will still buy them for collections, it's more semi-numi than regular bullion because of the design changes.

I don't find them to be visually appealing. Have toyed with the idea of getting some and each time I remove them from my basket and get something cheaper and prettier instead. This is probably a good sign that they will rocket in value in the future...

As everyone else has said above the design changes every year (apart from 2002?), there is increasing demand domestically in China and up until a few years ago the mintages were no more than 600,000 (substantially less for the various gold denominations).

In my opinion it is well worth investing in pandas if you are prepared to hold for a while.

The high amount of fakes is annoying, but the panda coins are very nice.

I have one 2013's and three 2014's. The 2013 is a really nice design and I am a bit disappointed I didn't decide to buy more. This was probably based on the higher premiums compared to other coins, but the price of theses has increased quite well. If planning on selling directly to the market, then I think pandas are a very good investment, even with the higher mintages they should increase nicely in value.

My posts are my personal opinions, they do not constitute advice or financial advice.

I have a few (58) in total ranging from 1997 to 2014, and of course some NGC slabbed ones.

They are not too bad a coin but form a numis point of view they tend to hold and increase in value so I will buy.

I just got a rather good deal on a short run 2010 - 2013. With the 2014 I had already that's a nice 5 year run already. Not the most expensive silver I ever bought either. I have purchased another handful of 2014's and will do the same every year from now on. Now and then I plan to pick up an earlier on, but to limit me (To stop me spending all my cash in other words) I am only going to buy in chronological order. So.... Next purchase has to be either 2009 or 2015. Guess it'll be the 09 then! lol

I like them as they are always going to be collected. Designs change, and they are good designs too, and quality minted coins. I think collecting pandas will be a nice little earner in the long run. :D
