1 oz Gold Three Graces Bar - Royal Mint - PreSale

Recommended Posts

Looks like we have a companion piece to the Una and Lion Bullion Bar.

Good looking piece in my opinion and a great way to enjoy the engravers series at bullion prices - albeit at 10% over spot for a low mintage premium bar.

4000 mintage on these, that's nice to see.

Personally I really like it. Picked up 10oz silver and 1oz gold. 1 oz silver sold out. Follows the new Britannia series in style

Also got a James Ist 1oz and a Henry 2oz which I’m guessing are returns. Loved the gold Henry Vii in uk so had to even if they are returns. Silver an platinum margin here is worth it

I was going to buy the 10oz, silver bar, hands down... until I saw it. I don't know, it's not as though it's "bad", it just doesn't seem right somehow - I think it's because the right hand figure almost looks like she was thrown in and somewhat rushed in design. The left hand and central figures seem to fit the overall piece. I don't know, I'm struggling to be drawn to this one. The Una and the Lion bar was a very attractive design, but this one just seems, as I said, rushed and it doesn't work as an overall piece in my view. It would almost suit removing the right hand figure and - though it would be viewed as a lazy thing to do - re-use the left hand figure.

My two pence.

The inferior man argues about his rights, while the superior man imposes duties upon himself.

He who has a why can bear almost any how.

Every act of beauty is a revolt against the modern world.
