Hey guys someone approached me to sell their graded 1902 & 1921 Morgan dollars graded MS67 by the PCGS for £14k. I don't have much experience with graded coins wanted to ask how much these coins go for any idea?

Morgans in that grade are rare and pricy.

Depends on the mint, the 1902 S is rare and a very rare coin in that grade.

The 1921 S in 67 is even more rare I believe.

The price is not outrageous depending on mint.

If I were you, I would have a buyer lined up before buying.  Morgan’s are hot at the moment from what I can see but this doesn’t mean it’s easy to sell high priced / high grade examples.

This pre-supposed that they are NGC / PCGS graded and have the eye appeal that really should go with these grades.

I don't think I am ready to deal at this level yet considering all the risks involved I think I am happy to continue with the small deals at the moment but since this guy reached me out I thought I will do my best to help him as much as I can, I gave him a few auction sites where he can list them on and also suggested him TSF lets see how things go  :)

Btw here are the coins

have you checked the slab numbers on the PCGS website, hopefully there will be photos. Those slabs look old or fake. The coins don't look like 67 grade to my eyes.

Just did it shows they were both bought at HA , The guy selling it told me someone loaned money from him and kept coins as security...   I guess seller took them out or the previous owner did but yeah... lol i just compared them with original images from HA and it seems like someone messed them up …

He told me he is getting offers but only from USA. I suggested him to contact nearest auction house and see if he can get anything out of those

Part of what makes a coin reach MS67 or higher is the eye appeal. That means next to zero scratches in the fields, next to or almost zero nicks or scratches that are visible to the naked eye, and if there is toning, it must be even and true.

The 1921 “MS67” Morgan someone is trying to sell you.

An 1881-S MS67 Morgan available at my local coin dealer.

Big difference in quality in my opinion.
