Given that cash is going out of fashion due to Covid, and the proven anti-bacterial properties of Silver, is it time that silver coins are bought back into general circulation? 😁

I would like it if they brought it back. But "they" don't have our best interests in mind, so anti-microbial is neither here nor there. What they seem to want is a completely cashless society.

But while we're dreaming then let's bring back copper coins too, since copper is also anti-microbial.

Apparently nickel is too (although copper is the best), so for those of us in the UK, all those wonderful nickel plated 5p, 10p coins, and copper plated 1p and 2p coins, plus cupro-nickel have already got this covered, sadly!

that's great - then the larger denominations (5, 10, 50 pounds) could then be silver :0)
