Not into it myself, mintage very much on the high side for the exclusivity factor, unless everybody in China suddenly decides they have to have one, resale value no different to all the rest unless you really dig goats :D

I like the image in the background better than the main figure, but then I also like crocs and Arks so what do I know about design. What are your own thoughts @lubi29?

I do like the blossom and fan shapes but there seems to be little gain on previous years (except for popular ones like the Tiger).  I could be wrong as I've not researched into them much.

Be careful if you decide to pick them up from EMK.  Sometimes they can be quite expensive once they start running low on stock.  This is when they start increasing their premiums and it would be wise to shop around.

I won't be collecting them (I'm pretty sure I won't anyway).  Instead, I have just purchased some medals produced by the China Mints.  They are expensive, mintage is low but the market for them is also small.  They probably won't appreciate but they're different and I liked the look of them.

This might not be the one you are talking about. But it's the one you have linked to. So I thought I would share the photo of this too.

Thank you all, I don't have much experience, collecting few months then is better to ask opinions and make right decision.

Did little bit research and yes you can find much better price for them as on EMK.

But still too big mintages.

Maybe if we got some inside look from China about real demand there can be wiser.

The commemorative 10 Yuan in both BU and Proof version seem to do well.

Over the years the PRC have issued these both for domestic and well international release, and again both seem to do well. The depth and range of the commemorative 10 Yuan is impressive and covers a wide range of series from Peking Opera through to arts and craft, flora and fauna; you name it, and if it is chinese there is a coin/small collection available

As the coin in question is a generic lunar, not certain how well this will do and like all coin collecting this is going to be a punt. This dealer is usually on the money in respect coin values and currently has one slabbed for sale
