Hi, Dave here, been stacking since 2007 , into gold and silver libertads ,gold sovereigns ,and Tiffany art, also have collected lunar series 1 and 2 . Get most of my coins from USA 55% Germany 40% and Maggie in Australia for the rest! have bought bullion coins all the way up to $ 35.00 and down again , have wasted money along the way and learned the hard way , and still learning glad to join the forum

Hi Dan, no duty, the sellers I deal with send goods standard airmail with no value i.e $20.00 and marked as souvenirs or medallions , I'm a member of the big USA bullion forum , also have a good fancy coin dealer ( proofs, limited mintage coins) that ships this way to me .

I am a big fan of libertads, haven't bought any yet though, was going to in my last purchase but ended up getting a 1kg kook instead. 

 

what size libertads do you have? 1oz's or do you have ay kilos?

Hi, I have complete set of 1 oz bu coins, I'm missing 2 years from complete set of 1 oz proofs, I have all of the fractional sets 1 oz - 1/10 oz bu , and about 60% of the fractional proof sets , and a good selection of the 2 oz and 5 oz bu/ proof coins , libertads are my weakness , but after all these years of collecting them ,they have taken off in price, I stay away from the kilo coin, very hard to resell because of size and price, smaller resale market. Be wary of the 1 oz 2008 bu coin , one of the main copy coins.

Good advice there Dave.

I'll be starting a date run of 1oz BU libertads next I think, the one I bought the other day has got me hooked.

I'll watch out for the 2008, are they good copies or easy to spot?

I have had a roll of 2012 Libertads, but just traded 1 for some actual real money. I don't usually break rolls, but sometimes one has to 'do 1 thing different every day' lol This is my only defence against my OCD which kicks in big time when it somes to coins and collecting lol. If I'm not carefull I and up trying to collect every coin I come accross. So I now have a tube of 19 coins, which is killing me! But I know that it is good for me lol
