Valuation Advice

I have a Royal Mint issued gold £5 coin from 2005 that appears to be very low mintage.

How much should I expect to get for the coin if I wish to sell it here or on the well known auction site.

I found a reference to the coin on the BBC website, from some time ago.

Thanks.

I have no idea to the coins value. However I am very jealous and wish that was in my collection.

I am a proud Welshman and remember celebrating that GrandSlam (although there is much of the celebration that I can't remember 🍺).

I hope someone can help you with a rough value. I will keep my eagle eye out for your sales post here on the forum.

I've never seen one therefore I would guess:

They are very rare,

nobody collects them,

whoever has one never sells,

or nobody knows they exist.

If you can't find an auction record then I guess the only way to find out the value is put it up for sale or better, auction it.

My gut feeling is it's worth very little above intrinsic gold value.

I agree with the above.

Although a very low mintage the market will be tiny so at a guess I would say a few % above price.
