That 1908 looks good, the Roman 1 was obviously a photgraphic artefact.

However, I'm still concerned about the outer reeding on the 1888 reverse. Is is really at an angle around 9 to 11 o'clock or is it just edge damage? It should be perpendicular. Or is this another photo illusion?

Eddie looks good. See my previous comments about the Victoria edge reeding. If it's all straight then fine. It's just that some of it doesn't look straight but at an angle like diagonal shading lines, if you get my drift - difficult to describe.

At the end of the day it doesn't matter much. The 1888 is pretty worn and the edge is damaged so it's just a piece of bullion. The weight and measurements confirm it'll be 22ct gold.
