What is acceptable?

As I'm failrly new to stacking, I would like to know your opinion.
A few weeks back I ordered some 2oz Queens Beasts and they arrived pretty darn scratched.

As @BackyardBullion was telling in one of his video's, the Royal Mint has a reputation of pretty poor handling/packaging of the coins so a lot of them arrive with scratches and dents.
What kind of damage is acceptable? If any..
I returned the coins to the dealer requesting new ones, they accepted it and will return me some new ones this week.
Was I right to return them? And is it just the risk, or luck, to receive pristine ones?

And what if the dealer has a disclaimer that the coins can be scratched or have some damage to some extend.
So, what is acceptable?
