it states in the item description, that due to the circumstances in which the vendor acquired the goods , authenticity cannot be proved,therefore please view before bidding

guess you couldnt take them back if they were fakes

the fact that the title didnt state "GOLD" krugerrand, just krugerrand set alarm bells ringing with me.

I seen these and went down myself to have a look, didnt spend to much time checking them out as 1 im not expert, but I did take a Neodymium magnet with me as we know gold and silver are not magnetic. The silver bar they had didnt stick, the silver krug didnt stick, the 2 1967 krugs didnt stick but the 2016 (I think it was) jumped out my hand and stuck to the magnet. The fact that this 1 stuck and the older coins looked new (which im guessing they wouldnt unless someone got them and stored them asap) put me off. I even told the guy there that at least one of them was a fake.

i did have a little bid on the silver kilo bar. but since i had doubts about the rest,i didnt keep bidding ,and lost out.

another local auction had some half sovereigns in.

all but one looked good, but at £131 each, i will wait and visit chards

plus 26.5% buyers fees etc
