Out of interest I priced up some scrap gold to sell to Hatton Garden Metals. Am I right in thinking they pay by Bank Transfer, Cheque or PayPal and Argos Vouchers?

Its just that seeing Argos as a payment method threw me. Wife became a bit interested then.

yes, useful if you have something you want to buy at Argos as you get substantially more dosh for your gold. could be useful for xmas pressies.

That is most interesting actually.

To sell 2 sovereigns at todays price would bring me £451

Argos vouchers/gift card would be £496.

A difference of £45

Taking away approx £7 postage would leave me £38 up

There was a group on Facebook where people buy and sell Argos vouchers as well as gift cards etc (currys, Amazon, Apple also)

saw someone sell a £50 voucher for £48 so there's a market for them for sure

I once sold a £75 Sainsburys voucher for £80 on ebay.

No I couldn't work that out either, thought they must be trying to rip me off somehow but it all ended up fine. It's a pity Argos don't sell coins...

I get Amazon vouchers once in a while from Amazon. They are non transferable. Luckily SilverStan is on there, so I usually buy some of his stuff with them.
