  1. Yes I get that… my wife quiz’s me in real time as the phone pings were when money leaves the account. …part of me wants to shut that feature down/part of me want to remain married too though! 😂
  2. Love that silver medal. 58mm version right? I have one and the 28mm version. I really want the larger gold version.. that would be a chunk!
  3. Check this baby out! Have had for a week now. Think I may put up for sale on the forum soon, see if interest. Only 52 on the face of the earth! And it celebrates some that has never happened before a 70th year Jubilee! 3oz of Platinum… a cracker!!
  4. See the quick link “what I received today” I list a Horde of coins. Have a friend that has asked me to find out about them/price etc. I think based on this effort I may just give them a price! 😂 Too much work for free 😂
  5. I know right… but it’s taken me 2 hours and I am stuck on deciphering this coin… specially what the rest of writing means and date (in Latin). Edward 6th. 12 pence Shilling. ?!??
  6. So thought would show this coin. Anyone know what is? Date? Period? Queen? At moment my best educate thought is it’s a shilling with Queen. It’s pretty legible, I just can’t pick it. I though queen Elizabeth 1st? 1500’s? But have seen Elizabeth shillings and can read it, can’t this one. Something 12th … left side of date I suspect is scrubbed Thoughts?
  7. Got it! Nice one. There were only 8000 of these coins ever minted right?
  8. 1853 is mdcccliii right? Missed an “I”. Just reading up. Not seen my Latin numbers for years. That was cool!! Thanks 🙏 I can’t even see this on coin. Edge seems a little worn? 1/2 number not there. Are the edges on gothic crowns like that?
  9. I am interested what the difference is between the super thick lump and the thinner one is. Both types dated 1797. Are they both cartwheel pennies?
  10. Some how a piece of cello tape has protected the face, but also left it’s mark. 😕
  11. Yer, would not surprise me. There are unscrupulous people in all disciplines. However I think that after some time given the majority of coins don’t rocket in price the mint would cotton on and recognise this from an individual seller. I think if you gotten in on “the grate engravers” series though you are diffinately quids in on all, some more than others. In particular if someone is scratching up coins.
  12. My goal… This hoard …to work on pricing up… Other than the obvious Gothic Crown (I assume is a steal at £1000?). I am not sure where the date is on this though? Assume it’s a 1947? I am interested in pricing up these 1797 chunky coins though, they are real lumps! Thoughts welcome.
  13. Just darn beautiful together an opportunity to work through categorising these!
  14. Hi all! I came across a little hord from a few friends and from the outset I know there are a few very nice pieces. Yes a gothic 1947 crown included!!! I am interested particular in how I may price a service for them. I am not keen to spend hours of time categorising them at no charge especially if giving them a true value. Would you charge a percentage of sales value? would you ask if they want to sell or not up front? How how someone work with this with a fare value in mind. I want to charge a fair fee and give a clear value on their coins.

  16. Gorgeous!! Nice! A nice little lump of CGT free there!
  17. Check this out. I could only see that at a midlands coin show its cash only, nothing about the others. NOTE: Don’t forget your vax. Pass. https://www.coinfairs.co.uk https://stampshows.net/york-stamp-coin-fair/
  18. That’s a good price! I am tempted to keep buying em’ … then again I did that with Dogelon crypto. 😂… pretty much in the toilet 🚽
  19. The benefit on eBay… if it’s c**p.. I send it back. Get my money, open a dispute.
  20. Nice call. I was thinking if I got a 1kg I would hanging around my neck like da’ boss. 😂
  21. Hey, interested in people thoughts. I am picking up Gothic Crowns these days for ever decreasing prices. At the moment I am getting them around £400 a 2oz coin off eBay (yes even cheap than off TSF which is rare). I am rather bullish for the future Thoughts?
  22. Yes, I had a the same thing happen when I bought a 1 kilo of silver (bar). I was advised because it could not be returned, even if spot price went up or down. Absolutely no returns policy.
