  1. No, it's not the National Trust we're talking about... sheesh!
  2. Haven't had this much entertainment since the Irish Central Bank had those 2016 Proclamation coins under spot.
  3. The IT is more likely sitting in Bangalore, there's the time difference and Jessop's yelling didn't reach them...
  4. Might be their web shop servers run an update once per day or some such during weekends, so even if they made the change yesterday it would've become refreshed only today.
  5. Heritage Auctions has an office in London.
  6. You and me both, brother. The FOMO is real.
  7. Yes, and I don't even like bars but the 50p jubbly did it for me. Ordered 2 x 5g little treasures.
  8. Don't know about you mate, but I have been living on "Trinidad" for many years already...
  9. Here's the "original" C over O (which actually may be a die-crack)... https://www.drakesterling.com/1879-sydney-c-over-o-shield-reverse-sovereign
  10. Yes, been often contemplating on this when crossing the Australian border over the years... the limit is AU$10,000 - at today's spot the equivalent of about 3 full and a 1/4 Brit.
  11. Good messages from @Roy @Anteater @BackyardBullion TBH perceived privacy is important - there is 0% chance I'd give my home address to a register maintained by a broadly anonymous party / persons. That's a hard red line. Sorry, not sorry.
  12. Bank of England holds interest rates at 5.25% The Bank of England has kept interest rates on hold at 5.25 per cent for the second successive meeting, following the footsteps of other central banks around the world. -- No moon?
  13. Michael Marsh sadly died already many years ago, the newer editions now debated are based on his work and revised by Steve Hill and other co-contributors under Token Publishing, who bought the rights from Mr. Marsh's widow. The entire thread above is worth reading, and regrettably Steve Hill's response to the direct inquiry regarding the matter is not exactly clearing the issue.
  14. No worries at all, I just thought to mention it as I was equally baffled by the old vs. new rarities at Marsh editions and remembered the confusion/debate about the matter.
  15. Allegedly there have been no new Canadian sov batches found at the mint or their central bank, though. The reclassification was indeed contested and AFAIK still under debate.
  16. Good one. Another is Yemeni Luai Ahmed from Sweden.
  17. Agreed the forum trade activity is severely subdued. I happen to follow a certain large US auction house from time to time and they seem to have no difficulty selling all sorts of coins like there's no tomorrow. E.g., around Coinex I was attempting to sell here an 1957 MS64 NGC for a reasonable(ish)? GBP430 and received not a single inquiry. On Monday this week someone paid $900 (GBP745) for the same grade in the US (not my coin).
  18. It's good the Sovereign LEP is lower at 7,500, but there are the additional ones from the 5/4/3-coin sets to be counted as well.
  19. Great deal. Would keep it in PCGS though. Only 23 PR70s at PCGS, whereas NGC census has 84.
  20. To da moon. The sheep's liver told me. PS. It also told me England will go to the final
  21. All these "head&shoulders" graphs remind me of trip to Bath - bet the Roman haruspecis would be impressed.... (no insult intended to anyone)
