  1. a) I'm still waitinig for mine! b) A Day in the Life? c) Who is his scriptwriter? d) Well said. We also drank a toast last night to King Charles III, the Duke of Lancaster. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  2. Yes, come on! Cook Islands! I was originally referring to the UK one: https://www.chards.co.uk/1999-princess-diana-gold-five-pound-coin/1446 OUT OF STOCK ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  3. Looks Like We Need An Urgent Rethink and Redesign: 2023 Gold Proof Sovereign Coin https://www.chards.co.uk/2023-gold-sovereign-elizabeth-ii-proof/2955 Back to the drawing board! ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  4. I certainly can't keep track! ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  5. The 1997 Princess Diana Memorial ยฃ5 Gold Proof Crown has been in good demand for some years now. Probably a case of lasting or even growing popularity. Typically, many coins get oversold in the early stampede to get them. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  6. I am sure a quantity of 2023 UK coins are about to be released, and will be currently in production, or even ready and stockpiled. This may cause a rethink or problem.
  7. @ChardsCoinandBullionDealer take note! ๐Ÿ˜Ž It beats the hell out of standing up! ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  8. I'm trying for the highest queue number!... But I would settle for a neat number like 12345! Possibly 8922 or 892022 ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  9. ยฃ367.82 I think we have at least another 500 arriving tomorrow, Friday. It would be nice to run out of them same day, but I don't think it will happen! ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  10. Now 4480: I don't want to buy anything, I just like queuing! ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  11. Missed the queue! Will have to start again! ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  12. I am sure there will be RM QEII Memorial coins, possibly as many as 96 of them! ๐Ÿ˜Ž Although I cannot think of any UK monarch precedents, there was a 1965 Churchill memorial crown, 1997 Princess Diana Memorial coins, and 2001 Queen Mother Memorial, 2021 Prince Philp Memoral coins. There was a tradition of memorial medals / medallions for monarchs.
  13. Sure, but King George V died on 20 January 1936, and it was long known that Edward VIII was never going to be crowned. George V had been in declingin health from as early as 1915. In 1925, on the instruction of his doctors, he was reluctantly sent on a recuperative private cruise in the Mediterranean; it was his third trip abroad since the war, and his last. In November 1928, he fell seriously ill with septicaemia, and for the next two years his son Edward took over many of his duties. George never fully recovered. In his final year, he was occasionally administered oxygen. The establishment, and the Royal Mint, had plenty of time for preparation. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  14. Next thing you know, it will be oil and gas! ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  15. Yes, but will they do a Struck on the Day? ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  16. Looks like we are too late to jack the price up! ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  17. Ah, good to hear from you. I had grave doubts about your bona fides on here, for a number of reasons, as you may read. Sorry about that, and hope it goes well. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  18. Or the well-known Blackpool dealer! ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  19. That beats my paltry 5450: Just job I didn't bet on it! ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  20. Like Marmite! ... or as Charles could have said "Ma might let me take over one day" ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  21. Sure, but both for the same monarch. I think it may be considered bad form, or a breach of protocol, to have 2 or monarchs portraits on coin obverses in the same year. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
