  1. Yeah, mine is similar - basket total and then total below.
  2. I mean, they don't have a clue about what they are doing quite frankly. I also don't know enough about consumer rights to know if this is legal for them to ask for the difference. If they are doing this then surely 100's emails will be coming out to Silver Forum members, I think we hoovered up nearly 1000 of these bars collectively!
  3. I have thought about challenging them with a complaint to the Postal Review Panel or indeed the postal redress service. The difficulty is that The Royal Mail (and they know this) have done everything by the book. They have paid the appropriate amount and they have also added a goodwill payment. That ticks all the boxes that they could possibly need to to avoid legal scrutiny. The "right" thing to do and doing what is expecetd of them are two very different things.
  4. Yeah, I mean if you factor that in then its a lot more. They won't entertain any additional claims, they have made that quite clear.
  5. Royal mail response captain subtext: Got to claw back my losses somehow. I choose YouTube Ad Revenue. Bring it on.
  6. I have just had confirmation that I will be getting a £2500 payment. I will also be getting £27.89 in postage refund and a £50 goodwill payment to "Restore my confidence in the service they provide" Totally crazy. I asked for a £250 goodwill payment to split the difference on the £500 in losses I am facing from the difference in price of silver and the other losses from hallmarking/postage etc. The CEO office reply was simply, No. It would seem they have chosen "Trial by combat" Crazy that if the Royal Mail finds my package they could just sell the silver for £2800 spot price and be in profit over £200 It has happened before... https://www.thesun.co.uk/money/15859526/royal-mail-missing-parcels-sold-at-auction/ Would not put it past them. If this happens eventually there will be some very strongly worded videos produced and a number of solicitors letters sent me thinks.
  7. Where Is The BEST Place To SELL Your Gold & Silver - Top UK Bullion Dealer Buyback Comparison 2024!
  8. That 40 oz is still to this day the single largest piece of silver I have ever made.
  9. I have little to no hope of this. They have strung me along for well over 3 weeks with them saying they have been searching high and low for it. They even (supposedly) had someone check manually through crates of packages at the dangerous goods/national returns centre. Nothing.
  10. Edinburgh have been amazing. They are assisting in every way you would expect for the claim and then beyond that too. They have been trying to get further information from their "Next to uselss" account manager (their words not mine). Can't fault the assay office at all. I have many questions on the faults of Royal Mail though.
  11. The following are now missing. 30x 100g Silver Forum Bars (2024) - Hallmarked but NO serial numbers on the side. 6x Assorted chess pieces - Hallmarked but no weight markings. If anyone sees them being put up for sale or see them anywhere on the internet pleae let me know as this will be reported to the police.
