It could well be, I didn't realise the similarities and with the date on the coin it would make more sense that its a sixpence, thanks for clearing that up, I was worried i had obtained a fake shilling.

Can anyone shed some light on these coins please, are they genuine or fake? They say 1578 but I was under the impression that these coins weren't made that year an I also heard that the Elizabeth I shillings didn't have dates on them so this coin confuses me, is it genuine or fake?

*Update: just stumbled across a site called Numismaster which has images of every coin from every country and you can filter them by country, weight, metal etc. Exactly what I was looking for.

Hi, I'm quite new to silver coin collecting but have a large collection of pre decimal British silver coins, some are 92.5% silver others are 50% silver, I've also recently picked up a few American junk/constitutional silver coins. But as a newbie I'm wondering if anyone can recommend any other foreign junk silver, ideally at least 50% silver, I've searched online but it's difficult as not showing images or much detail about the coins. Does anyone here have any favourite foreign junk silver coins or able to recommend any I should check out or should I just stick with British and American ones as they clearly seem by far the most popular?

I've recently purchased a 5 reichsmark coin and want to share it on my youtube channel but I've been told that because the coin has a Nazi Swastika on it my channel could be at risk of being banned if I share images, does anyone know if this is true? The online site I bought it from had the symbol pixilated out but I would want to share the coin without pixilation or cover ups in my video, does anyone know the policy or if this would be acceptable or a risk or even a guaranteed ban?

Hi, I'm a new member here and relatively new to stacking precious metals, I'm just wondering what most stackers would prefer to stack, I think 1 half sovereign is roughly the same price as about 6oz of silver, so say 6 1oz Silver Britannias or other government minted coins. So would you prefer the 1 gold half sovereign or the 6 1oz silver government minted coins? please explain your reason. Thanks.
