The 2002 Year of the Outback 'Finale' proof coin has been released by the Royal Australian Mint.
This is Australia's second only 'hologram' coin the worlds first triple Hologram coin.
The coin features the stunning scene that has been the centrepiece of the issues for the year of the Outback. With improved technology, this years coin the hologram itself is bigger and the image more radiant than the first hologram coin. The photographs taken by NSW photographer Michael Scott Lees, of the Olgas. With the improved technology the coin has three images that can be seen, First is the soft morning light, as the coin is moved, the image of the Olgas reddens with the heat of the day and the late afternoon. Then moving the coin again the Olgas disappear into the twilight of an outback night. The change in colour of the image is the result of minute ridges struck into the surface of the coin itself by the use of special 'shims' or small metal plates that act like dies when the coin is struck in the press.
The coin is presented in a presentation case with a numbered certificate, and has a limited mintage to only 15,000.

Condition: The coins are in ok condition, some better than others but certainly nothing special.

    Starting Price: £100,
I figured this was a good place to start as can cash them in at my local coin shop for face value, plus the bonus of the box.

(i.e. the auction ends at 9pm and there are three bids of £20, £22, and then £24 during 9pm and then a bid of £30 at 9.01pm, the winning bid would be the final highest bid during the time stamp of 9pm.)

Winning Bidder: The winning bidder is the person who has made the highest bid at the point the auction closes.
Each bid a bider places is an offer to buy at that price.
