Many thanks for all the advice. All 20 bars are now mine. All of them checked out with a magnet and on the scales. Seemed an honest and genuine guy that was selling a small part of his stack to fund buying into crypto for abit of diversity.

I have rough location on my profile.
Would be happy to help somene check a bar in a non-intrusive way, as long as the overall thickness is below 10mm.
Once you've verified one, then you know the others (most likely) are OK if they match size/weight

As for price, it is 23% over spot. Nice deal for non-CGT exempt silver -- if you've never heard of TSF

I think the package and COA should have @2g-3g.
So the weight of one sealed bar should be @102-103g.
Also, if the stamp on bars is clear and the same appearance on all the 20 bars and the serial numbers are different, I think it you are safe and the bars are legit.

    Hi all,
im looking for abit of advice please. I’ve been offered a nice amount of 100g minted Baird & Co silver bars. Totalling 2kg and costing 76p per gram. These will be in the plastic wallets with the certification sticker. I haven’t got a sigma tester and I don’t fancy opening them and doing an acid test. However I will test with a magnet and check the weight. Can someone tell me the weight of these bars in the plastic wallet please. Also is there any way I can check the serial numbers? Type of bar in pic. Thanks in advance.

Depending where you are in the UK, there are a decent number of people on here that have sigma testers. Might be able to meet up and test a few?!

Great price at £76 a bar, easily £85-£90 on here sealed.
I haven't seen or heard of any "still sealed" with coa sticker being fake, that's not to say they don't exist, but I've never seen them before.
I have none to check weight unfortunately, you could always take one bar to a coin shop/jewellers to get tested, then just make sure the rest match up.

    Hi all,
Just joined this group after buying 1100g of silver this week. I purchased an Argor Hereaus 250g and a Baird & Co 250g in assay card for £440 inc vat from Atkinsons. Then looked privately and after a bit of haggling I picked up 6 Geiger Edametalle 100g square bars in assays for £650. Bit of a heavy outlay for my first few purchases but that’s how it went. Hopefully over time (15year)this will be a good idea. Planning on adding 100g a month, as a newbie I’m open to suggestions.
