Hey Gold Buffs, ll start off by saying, I might be prospecting in the wrong mine here, if I am, moderators, I apologise. Got a quick one for you. A mate is turning the big 5-0 this year, and I thought, "A gold sovereign would be perfect!" Only snag? I find out that no sovereigns were minted in his birth year of 1973—except a second-tier Isle of Man version, which feels about as genuine as a £3 note. (maybe harsh, but not what I'm after) He's not a gold bug, but a sovereign would have meant something. A gold bracelet just won't do. So, I'm stumped. Any suggestions for a date-specific, classy alternative? Cheers for the help
