  1. But yours is die flaw, not a strike error. If it get slabbed do you think NGC will mention the flaw?
  2. The way I see it production flaw is still a flaw, like die crack and weak strike even if it get slabbed and graded PF70. Perhaps they could add comments to a production flaw but if not that is a limitation to their grading system.
  3. So a few pin hole frosting flaw will still get PF70. What does a perfect no pin hole frosting flaws get? PF70 Cameo?
  4. Its job creation at RM. If they sent out perfect coins everytimr there will be staffs laid off.
  5. Your 1/4 has several pin holes frosting flaws I can see on the animals. Maybe my standard of grading is high or just nit picky but curious to know will this pin holes gets picked up by NCG when slab and graded or will it still get a PF70?
  6. This only gets worse. All the good sets are kept and all the bad ones get returned. People returned theirs to get another set are likely to get another bad set from somone's else return. I be suspicious of anything coming back in stock too.
  7. I'm getting close to your secret formula😇 Gold teeth😄
  8. I got them foam tooth paste that cleans your teeth just by rinsing. I bet it is that. I don't keep secret that helps others failed by RM😉
  9. Don't mind me asking what technique do you use to conserve? The most I did was alcohol and slightly warm water.
  10. I don't collect slabs but I have a Piedfort £2 that has serious frosting flaws getting PF69. Does a PF70 has flaws?
  11. Had a better look this morning using light at various angles in a dark room to pick out frosting flaws. The 1/4 obverse has a pinhole frosting flaw on the King's face, a tiny spec on the field not sure it can be rid of, you cant see these when you look at it normally. The half is perfect. The full the obverse field has a very light smudge maybe grease, otherwise perfect but again not noticeable under normal viewing. The double the reverse on the back of the unicorn there is a few tiny spec of frosting flaws, its not immediately obviouse. So overall its goodish but not great.
  12. RM must have known how routine returns are and yet their QC remains terrible. Could be this is nothing more than job creation, hiring staffs to process resturns and their phone operators busy handling complaints, finance department ticking issueiing refund while keeping their sister company the "Royal Mail" busy.
  13. Selling coins describing them as proofs, flawless struct to the highest possible quality and passing them off with questionable quality control only for them to show flaws of every description you would find in circulated coins sounds like fraud to me. To fraud a fraudster is justice for me.
  14. Mine arrived yesterday but I was out so it just got redelivered now. The 4 coins set looks pretty and I agree with others this might become a classic. So far no flaws to be instant worry but will check closer later. The £2 coin looks impressive with the busy design but the smaller 1/4 to my surprise is also very appealing and might be the dark horse because of the lower mintage.
  15. It took them 2 months with phone calls and online complaints to refund me last time. its always "we will ask the finance department" like their finance department are some kind of outsourced department. Had I not complained they most likely never refund me.
  16. If the quality is less than perfect its going back and I'm done with RM.
  17. I got my email about to disptach my 4 coin set.
  18. This is what I'm suspecting but he is a fool if think of swindling as his reputation is going dowing the gutter. I got a ebay email from the seller today by the name of "Liz". She said that because of restriction placed on their account they cant refund me and that I should open a case with paypal. I opened a case with paypal, soon afterward ebay emailed me that because I've opened a case with paypal they decided to close my case with them.
  19. I returned my Harry Potter 1/4 OZ gold coin on 22nd November for a refund. Royal Mint emailed acknowledge recieved this return and will process my refund. I check my bank balance on December 30th and realise I was never refunded the £730. Phoned Royal Mint and they said they will look into this the first week on New Year when they return to work properly and will contact me. Got no reply last week so I email a complaint via their website. Check my bank balance today still no refund. Is this unusual or typical of the Royal Mint?
  20. Its never been posted. Seller reply acknowledge that, but I was suprise to be asked to get ebay to step in.
  21. Maybe. I'm not that petty, I just don't give any feedback at all. Last time I gave anyone a neg on ebay was almost 20yrs ago and I got a retaliatory one back. By hassling about with the refund it actually makes me want to give a less than postive feedback.
  22. I don't know about new ebay sellers but I'm having difficulty getting my refund from an established ebayer "change-checker-com" Ian Paul Lambert. Maybe he is member here? I ordered a BBC Piedfort 50p on 10th October 2022 with estimated delivery 28th November but whether he got the coin from Royal Mint on time I do not know but I started contacteing selle for a refund at the beginning of this month, got a reply and asking me to ask ebay to step in. Why cant they just give me a refund? Anway the option to get ebay to step in returns an error message. Ilet ebay know what is happening an dbecause its passed 30 days from the estimated delivery its now in the goodwill of the seller to refund me🙄
  23. The higher price might be to cover fthe cost of postage when you return the coins due to poor QC😃
