  1. 99.9999% sure its tomorrow and that speaking directly with Royal Mint account manager, and told to expect a call from him again during this coming week to arrange/collect payment
  2. Many thanks @silversurf will keep an eye out. Surprised they do not use an online bidding software like AuctionMobilty Coin Cabinet etc use Missing out on lots of bidders/business/web traffic
  3. Does anyone who was bidding in London Coins December auction yesterday know what Lot #572 "2oz gold Una & Lion" sold for please ? many thanks
  4. It's a bit of a no brainer in 2022 to buy nothing but 2022 sovereigns if it's only bullion you're after
  5. My prediction for 2022 is 'more doom and gloom'
  6. In line with the 'better ' variant proof years 2017 and 1989, 2022 will see slowly rising value with time, as release fever dust settles and then supplies start to dwindle from the market in next 12-18 months
  7. If someones sat on a good few bog standard gold Krugerrand, maples, Britannias they are in profit with, cash them in for 2022 bullion sovereign is a good choice I'd say, the variant design will always warrant an extra £10-£25 premium per coin over a bog standard sov in years after 2022, over and above their gold content
  8. This next two weeks could be a good chance to pick up some well Priced 2022 sovereigns, while eyes are off the prize, as the keener eyes and flippers follow the gothic crown
  9. Hhhhhhhmmmmmm why? Is someone on the Saturday Stella? Pattern alternate queens beasts ideas would be interesting however .........
  10. Hope it out values the £5 at Spink in 50 years to come, mintage of 1/1 it looks fab
  11. They've got their pound of flesh from day 1 in the daftly inflated RRP The new one might, if this series continues for next 25 year s
  12. Yeah it's like a vicious circle isn't it, I'm just glad I managed to join the lift at the ground floor, taking a speculative punt on the Una and lion. Might be able to pay off the mortgage after it's all over with! Crackers isn't it
  13. HODL'ing again this one again sorry. Got a good feeling this plain edge will be better than three graces values, but not Una and lion levels
  14. Do we think these 'never available to the general public' is a good decision going forward, as folk buying them will be minted cash wise so unlikely to come to market and added ultra low mintages. Good chances for upsides/profits
  15. If the planets align I have a 'plain edge' coming, but have been promised I will definitely 100% get one either milled edge/plain edge as I don't spend enough to directly reserve one, but as a previous buyer for previous 2oz gold in series, he will know once all platinum marque members had all been contacted/offered, fingers crossed......... Here's hoping ....
  16. This will probably result in these 'plain edge' ones going into the big spender/collectors hands, who are most likely to be HODL'ing them, rather than flipping With this 'tiny' mintage 125, for the sake of simple maths, if x100 of these are in very strong HODL'ing hands, never to be seen, that's only x25 spare are not many to share around the world to Far East etc plenty of big money coin collectors in Far East & middle east who wont be Mint Marque clients just purely on geography. Andreas at Coin Cabinet told me personally around 80% of their big ticket sales £10k+ would go to the far east It has possibly going to be a rare site, to see come onto the market. With Una & Lion being 225 mintage, in strong hands. Ive a strong feeling this 'plain edge' may be the same, when you noticed the significant different between the plain edge original and normal gothic crowns, it is many multiples higher price. I wonder if this will happen as well with this new release Monday ? The 2oz gold Queen's Beast completer was released this way, under cover to Gold Mint Marque members and above, and not possible for general public to purchase
  17. Bet the forum doesn't get a Christmas card from her this year 😆
  18. Youll need a credit card with suitable credit limit to support purchase on day or release, to get the protection a credit card affords. Or debit card with funds in bank for immediate purchase. Keep phone handy for text confirmation alert if it is 'out of sorts ' of your usual spends. Bank transfer is to fund bullion holdings, not purchase of new releases
  19. Yanks capital one were mega generous with limits pre 2008, think bank of Ireland/post office back capital one now, sadly their target market seems to be the highest interest/risk category. Not saying you are, but not all credit cards are created equally
