  1. Most of my car's and vans have cost less than these posh heavy exclusive £2 coins lol
  2. I don't sadly James, 2oz gold is really the upper upper end of my budget. Was happy stacking quarter Oz gold and sovereigns until about 2 years ago with zero stress lol
  3. Spot goes to £3k, zero downside risk, just sell it for melt then
  4. The closeness to Christmas could be a big factor for people with kids, wives or dearer mistresses A free £500 this time year could help a lot of folk
  5. postman been today they've done a lovely job that's for sure on this - happy chappy
  6. If everyone does, it protects everyone else. I'm not a millionaire, I'm not minted, I'm not without, I'm not needing any extra cash any time soon, I'm happy to enjoy the journey with these. I'm not happy I'll have a £5k bill again in march but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it! Nationwide have said online I'm pre approved for £12k loan so will probably bundle the two over 5years at 4.1% hopefully a wee bit upside in them
  7. It may be the case the milled edge 2oz gold could be shunned in auctions and flippers on feebay, taking whatever profit they can when credit card bills come due, some may just be seeking the lower mintage issue. Three graces started very strong, but hasn't been great past six months at auction . Wonder if history will repeat??
  8. Well , the original was issued in small numbers as plain edge'. And we know RM love to milk the collectors market where it is acceptable to do so, same will be rinsed and repeated in march
  9. I think it was @ShaolinStacker from USA flew to Germany and did that when he flipped his gold Una and lion and flew to Germany with it I recall. To be low-balled upon arrival and stiffed for the agreed price
  10. There doesn't seem to be frantic action and resales on feebay with this release if I'm reading current market sentiment right , I know it's still early days. Remember it took the £10k+ hammer price at USA heritage platinum auction sale that projected demand for Una and lion. Feebay not the best to judge long term. Next few coin cabinet sale will be interesting as they get graded and resold
  11. Just get stamped certificate of postage, send second class untracked, and pocket the £7.50 extra
  12. Royal mint is actually a private company owned by hm treasury https://www.google.com/search?q=is+royal+mint+a+private+company%3F&oq=is&aqs=chrome.0.69i59j69i57j35i39j46i67j0i273l2j0i67l2.2926j0j7&client=ms-android-hmd-rev2&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8&chrome_dse_attribution=1
  13. I will decide over this year what I'm going to do, see how the coin cabinet auctions go, see what else comes to market
  14. It's in all fields taking profits, folk on Rolex AD lists, luxury handbags,Concert tickets, Pokémon cards, even trainers. No-one is forcing folk to pay more in secondary markets. If there wasn't folk willing to buy these flippers wouldn't do it. All supply and demand
  15. Or cash everything from great engravers gold in, and purchased tubes of 2022 bullion jubilee sovereigns with the profits for years to come ??? Waiting for spot to continue its rises higher? Good idea ???
  16. Thanks for sharing you opinions guys it's certainly going to be an interesting few years follows this one. Remember in in North East where I am the potential profits on these is 'pay your mortgage completely' territory
  17. Here's hoping fingers crossed. If it's settles at says £25k, that'll be £50k for the pair, for £10.5k invested
  18. Do we think the "portrait" release due in March in will done again in 2oz gold "plain edge" ? I would presume so
  19. you'll have to wait till mid-January I'm afraid, i have read on facebook " flippers collectors group " i will have had time to pawn my kidney by then for when the bill comes in
