I loved the toning of the 1915 half crown, shame about the heads site but its still beautiful, the 1937 crown is in exceptional condition I may well get that slabbed and graded, and the 1820 crown was the main part of cost at 95 pounds but its beautiful.spot price is just a afterthought with these beauties IMO.

OK I forgive you. You're right the 1850 is a really nice looking coin

I just spend 150 quid on 70 grams of silver  I may have lost my mind, but these are not you average coins.

Today I bought a 1905 half Sovereign for the grand total of £85, 5.5% UNDER spot.
 
Thanks to those lovely people at ebay for giving me a £15 voucher and those equally nice nectar card people where I managed to get another £5 worth of vouchers..
 
  
 
Not as good as the price I got last month where I got a half sov for £77 using the same type of vouchers, but I'm happy enough. Hope they give me £15 vouchers every month

ebay £15 pound of voucher, found one for 14.99 plus postage of £2.60 so just had to pay postage , that helps the DCA a bit (not that i have a clue what mine is)

the fact that it may looked cleaned will put some collectors off but in this case the detail looks better than EF.
 
here is a UNC/BU. Check for details in lettering, robe, face and helmet.
 
There was 5.6 million minted in 1910 but even so XF is quoted at £115, Unc £350 & BU £400.
