withdrawn Palladium or rhodium bars wanted

Recommended Posts

Hi @Gypsy

as you already know I am a PM collector & have both Pd & Rh in my laughably coined ‘stack’

I am not selling any but I wanted to point you and @Stacktastic to Bleyer Bullion who have supplied a couple of pieces to me & did buy a bar of Rh & Pd from me when demand was really high . They do get pre-owned precious metal pieces in regularly. Not sure about anyone else dealer wise but maybe other Forum members have experience

Good luck. Rh especially is rare as you know & often out of stock at Bairds who are the main minters of it in the uk

Thanks. :)

The Baird and co makes sense, but I did like the platinum coin I had (and sold) - not a Maple fan & it wont help if or when I sell it?

Why not sign up with Bullionvault and buy as much as you want if you want to speculate. What you buy is yours.  All you pay is storage which is still less than getting a private storage box per year.

Look at the spread though

Yes, @Agaupl the spread is significant & worse for Rhodium where it is easily 12-15% & vat. These are not really trading PM stuff. My interest was a move laterally from a periodic element collection

it’s worked out for me maybe but my interest is not trading . And I have several Pd pieces I am theoretically losing on, but they are both beautiful coins bought 2nd hand though at a higher ‘spot’ . The spread is the cost of acquiring but preowned there is not the full fat vat markup but I know and expect that the vat paid originally should be recognised . Good point though & I don’t think these esoteric metals are a recipe for trading beyond curiosity . But what do I know … ?

Fair play mate you know you business. I used to work a lot with tungsten and iridium and it always was surprising to me when people wanted to collect it.

I agree the platinum group are pretty facinating metals. If it’s your love and interest then you’ll never lose on it.

Aaaahhh😉
