Best investment advice: Every time gold goes to zero you should buy more.

Second best investment advice: Buy some high ranking politicians,  few intelligence officers and at least one general.

Do find it odd how these de cunha gold proofs go for a high premium when first sold but theres virtually no interest from people on here. Gotta be some decent profit to be had if you find the buyers! They're surely some about as they get sold to start with.

I think they're the sort of products that are sold with a lot of marketing mostly to people who aren't typically on forums like this. When reselling you're unlikely to have the same marketing operation behind you and so might have difficulty achieving the same premium.

Very fair point. I know a guy that buys up hattons of London collections (initially sold at double spot). Guessing he got roped in via their marketing. Now buys the sets on eBay. I've made a bit by buying at spot and selling + 20% (off eBay which is still a huge discount for him)

So there's a market there.

Anyway, nice buy for Merlin
