American Silver Eagle

Decided I was going to play around with one of my Silver coins and chose the Eagle. 
 

Was surprised to feel how thin & sharp the rim felt underneath the year of issue.

Anyone else had experience of this?

The edge of the rim around the Liberty marking is a lot thicker, smoother and raised higher.

I once played with a silver Brit and artificially toned it with boiled egg, looked ok but wasnt for me so got rid on the bay and it went for 30 odd quid

Haha I think I’ll keep it out of the collection and carry it for a while. Hopefully the edges will smooth out in time.

2021 ‘s always seemed to have a sharper edge.   But I’m sure that’s just me
