closed Solid silver writing desk set for a lady

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I am trying to find a nice writing set in sterling silver or similar for my wife.

Can’t spend too much but up to £200 for a show stopper would be fine. Don’t particularly want plate.

I know it’s a bit of an ask.

Anybody got one squirrelled away. I know there a few preppers on the site😀

Thanks

If don’t you find a great set, I bought my wife a beautiful fountain pen a couple of years ago. I bought it on Gumtree & had both the original box & a leather travel case. Really lovely , and as with the way of these things now , barely used.

then I bought myself one. Only used it twice but both very significant occasions for me.

if you don’t get the perfect writing set, which is a great idea, a fountain pen is a great & v v personal gift.

hope you get it sorted though

Hi Clive,

Sounds wonderful and I agree they are very wonderful personal gifts

The desk writing set she is thinking of doesn’t need a pen as such but the inkwells, blotter, pen holder etc.

She is a bit arty and likes calligraphy

I hate to use eBay for stuff like this as I’m always a bit disappointed.

200 for a set of brand new silver pen will be hard

Yard-O-Led maybe a good choice for silver pen , made in Uk

@fehk2001 had a look and they are stunning pens. Jeez. You can tell it’s a PM forum.
That Yard-O-LED name is weird as hell though. 🤷

Thanks for the tip Felix!

Just bought the Diplomat Barley ballpoint for my lovely wife as a Christmas pressie.

I was struggling for ideas, this is ideal 👍
