Sought after Hallmarks

I have just bought a job lot of Silver cutlery which I'm going to send away to be melted.

Is there any extra value in hallmarks from York, Edinburgh or Newcastle?

I'd say yes for York, maybe for Newcastle, but only depending of item's condition.

On forum I don't think there are many people who would pay well for a spoon, but after a clean with Goddards products will sell well on Ebay.

Nope. These are London, 1843, William Robert Smily.

Please, don't melt them if you are not in a hurry for quick money.

If you can hold them for me until January, I would be more than happy to buy them all at spot plus shipping. I am skint now and next month unfortunately.

Thank you, but I've agreed to keep hold of them for @stefffana.

I was just going to send them off to be melted into a Bar.

I always feel guilty scrapping items that are a couple of hundred years old.
