Buzz of coin delivery day

So I've indulged this month in some lovely pre 47 and pre 20 silver, 1892 gold Austrian 4 Florin restrike and a 10 and 20 19th century couple of francs. 

 

I had the grim disappointment yesterday of arriving home to the dreaded royal mail red slip saying it'll be redelivered today, awww the agony. But I've made it through the 24 hours and an now happy to say I have that lovely childhood Christmas eveesque vibe of coin delivery day and I personally can't wait. What a lovely buzz these wonderful little pieces of metal give eh

Yep, i agree. Had 3 deliveries this week. Almost drawn to distraction checking the track and trace lol.

One more piece of silver next week 🙂

At times the Royal Mail does confuse me, sometimes a special delivery gets pushed through the letterbox, other times it’s a red card! Usually depends on who the postman is. Never really was a problem when they sent it to the local post office as it’s a five minute walk, however, since the change of policy it’s a pain going to town to the delivery office!🤔😮

I have always made sure to tip my postman handsomely at Christmas for years, he now goes out of his way to deliver my mail, he even takes it to my parents house if there’s nobody home.

(I’m dreading the day he retires) 😂

That’s great😮, however, unfortunately here in the last year we’ve had so many different post men and women you could form a football team with them! 🫢🤔
