closed Peace and Morgan 90% silver dollars - various grades

Recommended Posts

I have for sale a selection of US dollars.

These are each minted in 26.7g of .900 silver.

Prices are plus post.
1st class signed for: £3
Special Delivery: £6

Morgan dollars: UK and US grades are given (my opinion)

1897
Mint: Philadelphia
Mintage: 2.8 million
With a low mintage and almost uncirculated grade, this is a superb specimen for any USA coin collection with mint lustre and some peripheral toning. Only the slightest wear to the upper legs on eagle and central obverse hair.
aUNC / MS
£60

1896
Mint: Philadelphia
Mintage: 10.0 million
This is almost in mint state with only a little wear to feathers on the eagle's chest and some evidence of rubbing on fields on reverse. Some toned areas.

1902
Mint: Philadelphia
Mintage: 8.0 million
This coin has been circulated, shown especially by wear to eagle's breast feathers, and lightly polished.
gVF / low AU

1890
Mint: Philadelphia
Mintage: 16.8 million
This has very light circulation, with minor wear showing across the coin, and some marks here and there and contact marks, and a couple of scratches on obverse. Some toning.
EF / mid AU
£40

1921
Mint: Denver
Mintage: 20.3 million
With a little mint bloom remaining, and pleasant grey and brown toning, this coin has had some circulation but most of the main details remain. Reverse has suffered more wear, e.g. to the laurel leaves, than the obverse which is of excellent quality.
gVF/VF / low AU/high XF

And last and indeed least, three low grade peace dollars. Introduced in 1921 to memorialise the peace following the brutal world war, and also the allied victory. The eagle holding the olive branch are the symbols of the peace and victory.
£22 each
