✨ What Would It Take ?

Recommended Posts

As some of you may know, I've been dealing with some family issues that are changing my priorities and as such, I've decided to thin out my collection drastically.

It came to mind that maybe I could trade silver for gold. That might present a problem though .. Just of the top of my head, I'm thinking it takes lots of silver to equal an ounce of gold. Maybe I should think about fractional ?

I'm also thinking ... is there a demand for silver over gold?  Will having gold help my financial needs to raise funds?

Hmm...

I suppose it comes down to the reason why you are looking at thinning out your collection? Is it due to needing the stored value you have in your silver or dose it come down to the amount of space needed to store your stack?

I guess its not to access the stored value of your silver as your thinking about swapping for gold. If its purely down to storage capacity then I would think exchanging for gold would possibly be you most efficient option.

In terms of silver demand, I can only speak from my own point of view. From my research, I conclude that silver is much more undervalued then gold right now. So I'm buying almost 100% silver right now with the aim of exchanging for gold in 5-10 years time when the gold silver ratio has reacted to the 120oz of silver needed for 1oz of gold back in 2020.

I would think having a mix of gold would be best in the long run. It would give greater flexibility to liquidate various amounts depending on how much you need at the time. Also, It will probably be easier and quicker to shift fractional gold as it will be withing the reach of a larger demographic. Potentially the premium on fractionals could increase over time due to higher demand?

Hope that helps, I'm not an expert just voicing thoughts and opinion. 😁
