I've got (well mother has) a gold bracelet containing 5 Edward VII half Sov's. This was made in the 50's, maybe 40's, yet I can't find a hallmark on the bracelet it's self.

Me is athinking that it would have to be gold otherwise why the sov's.

Any idea's?

I would be inclined to agree, wouldn't stick expensive sovereigns ( at the time) on a dud bracelet.

I like to buy the pre-dip dip

Excellent answer.

I've never seen but heard of this happening to avoid extra charges.

Even heard of gold bars being marked with a lower purity back in the 1800s to save some taxes😅
