Coin Cabinet Auction 14 November

dicker

Recommended Posts

There is a Sovereign focussed auction on the 14 Nov at the Coin Cabinet.  Split into U.K. and branch mints.

A few interesting Victoria lots:

- Ansell

- Sydney Type 1

- 1843 Narrow Shield

There are earlier and later Sovereigns in the auction, and when I looked yesterday only one Gillick (but in very nice condition).

There are a smaller set of halves that may be of interest to some including some early dates.

Not my circus, not my monkeys

I had a look at the catalogue yesterday, there are some nice lots coming up.

I did notice one lot in the branch mint sale, a 1929 P mint sovereign rated by PCGS as MS64. I know the later branch mint sovereigns suffer from being weak strikes but the reverse of this sovereign seems very weak.
