Is this a fake or not

Yes that’s another issue but one I can accept if everything else is ok .not very pleasant to look at though,looks like it could be a mint error or the coin was dropped? .the whole coin has this rim running around the edge of the coin ; in my opinion it’s a design fault .

Oh yes James 

It’s  genuine. And the damage is a mint error 

and it is extremely rare
