Wow! I am so excited to see how this forum is growing.

When I joined just a couple of months ago, there were 7 members. Today, there are 7 pages full of members!!! :D Well done Chris mate, things are looking good.

Any way - we should all remember to let our other friends and contacts know about this Forum, if we all recruited just one member this week the forum would be twice as big next week! lol

Those of you who have web pages, or you Tube channels, think about sticking a link up to the forum?

:D

8 new members in the last 7 days.

Thanks guys! I would also like to thank a few of the new members who have been informing all of their friends and contacts within the industry.

If everyone who joined manages to get just 1 other person to join then The Silver Forum will grow exponentially. :)

Congratulations on the membership , things have gone full steam since the first week, also regular members are better than large membership , some forums have 1000s of registered members, but only a regular core

Yea, your completely right Dave. A small active member base is much better than a large inactive one.

Most decent forums have a ton of members and only about 50 regular posters. It's the nature of the game.

I just don't understand why people would take the time to sign up and then not post or login for months.

Strange

In my case, I joined back in March, but was already an active member on a different forum here in the U.S., so my activity was on that forum.

As things have been going, the freedom to speak/post your mind has been restricted on that forum via ridiculous draconian rules about posting nothing about the faulting economy or coming crash.

I remembered joining this forum and came back.

(sorry, but you guys will have to put up with my incoherent ramblings for now, or add some draconian new rules to get rid of me)

Hi tael. That's strange that they would restrict posts about the economy. What's the reasoning behind that?

Well FEAR is my guess, I assume they don't want to be associated with posts about impending economic doom (warranted or not) and become a target for shills and alike.

Bullion stacking was a small part of that forum which was mostly numismatists (say that 3 times fast) and to be perfectly honest, about 1/2 of the "coin collectors" on that forum don't see anything wrong with the economy.

In effect, by restricting negative economic posts, they were doing the exact same thing our news media does...

Slightly off topic....but tael - I love your location! 127.0.0.1 - that's pretty geeky! :D  I like! (I also know exactly what it is!!! LOL)

Yeah, just having a little fun... from one geek to another ;)

For you techie or older techie types...

I recently looked on IRC (efnet, undernet, freenode, etc...) for a "silver bullion" type channel and found nothing.

Not sure if this is a niche opportunity or if IRC users (techie types) and silver/gold investing do not jive.

Any interest in an IRC silver channel out there?

A new silver bullion podcast?

Something else?

opinions...

Forums such as this are a great place from which lurkers of various agendas may spy with ease.
