Gold 1 oz Bars / UK vs EU Prices ?

Recommended Posts

I quickly scanned some of the more popular UK outlets for basic one ounce gold bars.
Prices were in the range £1,295 to £1,325 so 4.5% to almost 7% over spot.

Then checking the EU you notice the margins are much less.

Question - why are our UK suppliers charging more ?

I wanted to buy a specific Queens Beast one ounce coin and the best price I could find in the UK was over £100 more expensive than several German sellers ... and to think it is made in the UK !!
