Yes you will end up being charged twice.
I had thought that there was a £250 threshold meaning no additional VAT to pay but that's incorrect.
Notice that STG and CoinInvest have a minimum order to the UK of £250.
That's because they can ship VAT free but you will be hit with the full 20% once arriving in the UK plus a fee for the courier / post invoicing you VAT.

Yep im afraid so. One set of VAT to the country you buy it in (assuming that country doesn't allow VAT free export only sales) and one lot of VAT for HMRC.
