For sale here is an utterly stunning example of a Peru 1/5 Libra. Dated 1966, this gold trade coin features arguably one of the nicest reverse/obverse combinations on any gold trade coin! 🇵🇪

The mint lustre on this example is fantastic! It really pops! Having this coin in hand is the only real way to appreciate its true beauty. I have, however, done my best to capture this in photos and videos.

Coins of this type carry high premiums, and its easy to see why. With a mintage of 60,000 this gorgeous, lustrous 1966 example would make a great addition to any Peru or gold South American coin collection.

Will be sad to see this go but I already have a Libra set and I’m focusing on other areas at the moment. This is actually nicer than the one I will be keeping, but I prefer the earlier dates.
