Satellites and fast internet have not worked before, not sure they'll work now.  However that's not that important, its from Musk who is a investment darling at the moment so the issue is bound to soar on the back of hubris, FOMO and undiscerning retail investors.

the satellites are supposed to be in a lower earth orbit than existing systems delivering lower latency suitable for gaming.

Also far more in orbit, up to 12,000 end state.
