Seems a bit irrelevant until we know what he bought? I'm sure it'll get shared when it arrives.

"The best I can hope for is that the order is delivered" - at the risk of sounding repetitive, half the forum use GoldSilver.be with no issues, so why are you worried about receiving the items?

People place far larger orders at GSB. They are an authorised dealer for Perth Mint, have been around for ages. Everyone gets their stuff, including the people in that thread. The problem is some people like paying Lidl prices but for some reason expect M&S customer service. Just sit back, relax, and wait for the postman.

Some people do have issues though. It sounds like a lot of people have been kicked in the nuts:

Some interesting reads. However fundamentally it doesn't change much. While their customer service is shocking, in every instance linked they appear to be factually correct.

  • The person querying the interest rate should have chosen to pay in GBP if they wanted a fixed GBP price. If they choose to pay in Euro there's always going to be a cost associated with conversion. That happens everywhere. Bad comms sure, but the customer ultimately didn't know what they were doing.
  • The person complaining about the cancellation charge made a huge order, cancelled against the terms of service when the spot went down (regardless of their intention - factually this is what happened), ordered silver again off them shortly afterwards at a lower price after the spot fall, then was surprised the company wanted damages? If you read far enough into the thread you'll see this all explained.  Again, comms are terrible, but the vendor is actually well within their rights.
  • Another was a person who couldn't provide the relevant documents in accordance with the terms of their order. They ended up getting a refund. Again, who's fault is that?
  • The 4th and final thread is asking for info on GSB so in lieu of reading the whole thread I haven't got much to say on that one.

I'm not here to sell GSB by any means - my last few orders have been from UK dealers and a great experience. But similarly my orders from GSB have been completely painless, and it's a shame others will be put off by misinformed posts like some of those quoted above.

In terms of customer service it's clearly shocking, but ultimately the vast majority of people make an order, pay for their order, and receive their order. Yes they are not good at resolving issues, but as we can see above the vast majority of issues are caused by customers not the vendor. So in your case where you've purchased coins and paid your bill there should be nothing to worry about.

Hope you post in the 'Today I received' thread when it arrives. I think you'll look back and wonder what you were worrying about 😉
