Can anyone verify these coins, fake or not?

I came into posession (nothing dodgy!) of two gold Russian coins. They are, or appear, to be a 5 Rubles - 1890, and a 10 Rubles - 1898.

I've read that there are a lot of fakes of such coins, so how would I go about validating they are genuine, or not? Or is anyone here able to suggest validity? I'm not near a big city, so there are no experts or dealers nearby that I could take them to. I have images I scanned of them, if that's any help. See below.

Sorry, those scans don’t allow even for an educated guess...

scale and calliper to check dimensions for starters – BackyardBullion has made a video on checking specific weight as well

Ultimately you want to see that all denticles are fully struck and that the letters are extremely sharp. Also compare the tail feathers with high res pictures from online resources.

I'm no expert about Russian gold coins, but I do seem to recall seeing/hearing somewhere recently that the 1898 year is one that has the highest number of fakes...…..

Doesn't bode well, I was leaning towards fake anyway, I just didn't know how to check. My dubiousness is why they are not located in my gold stash, but in a drawer.
