Thx...

I am a bit of everything - a stacker, a collector, buy and sell for profit where I can :P

I like bullion, semi and numis!

I really wish SA would sell a silver version of the Krugerrand.... alas no, we dont have one! I am forced to import and pay and all the extra costs involved :(

Ditto that,I have seen a silver 1oz commerative coin that celebrates the 1oz gold coin

The problem with common sense is, its not that common.

Thx for the video, in fact I have one of the commerative silver krugerrands... (Not a South African coin)

The only silver coins SA mint are .925 numismatic coins, to which some are amazing! I will post a pic of one of my favorites, really good just wish it was 999!

SA has one of the most recognized gold coins in the world, I just don't understand why they don't create a silver version. Oh well maybe one day they will see the light!

Hi Pushingtin

Welcome to the forum.  I too am a South African, however I now live over in Australia.

What is the stacking community like in SA?  Is there much demand for Perth Mint coins over there?

I tried to do a bit of research on the market back in SA, but it seemed that most coins available were SA Mint coins.

There are lots of South African's over here in Australia, so being able to access some nice SA Mint coins would be great too. :)

Any info you could share would be awesome.  I would love to provide the community back home with more variety of coin options if there a demand for it.

Hi Strenue

There are definitely a few stackers here but nowhere like the rest of the world - seems SA is slow to catch on...

In fact I lived in Dubai for 3 years and that is where I got into stacking! So when I returned to SA, I found it pretty frustrating trying to collect and stack due to lack of options in SA.

Sadly it does not seem like Perth Mint numi stuff has a demand here, I tried selling a few to test the waters but seems people rather want ASE or any other standard bullion coin. Kooks could do ok here but people dont seem to get the fact about paying premiums.

Where about in Aus u staying now and how long you been there?
