Is anyone collecting/trading the Gates of Jerusalem collection?

I like their look and price but so far can only find them available online in Israel or through Degussa in Switzerland.

The coins look fantastic. I have seen them many times... Whenever I am in Jerusalem, I go to their shop. Unfortunately 99$ for 1 oz silver is too much to eventually enjoy the coins. The gold ounces are on my list, though. It seems even at just 1800 mintage, they don't sell out too fast.

Yeah - the silver is pricey and above premium but they are beautiful! And the gold oz are on par with Queens Beast. I’ll be in CH next week so will get my hands on a real one at Degussa to get a good look and feel.

  • 1 year later...

Happy to say I was gifted this Christmas two of the coins from the Gates of Jerusalem collection. Patience paid off as the other-half managed to bag them as bargains from our friends at Sharps Pixley for just under £25 each - considering their $99 price tag at the Israel Mint we were happy with this price - even though that’s still a high percentage over spot. But - when you see something you like sometimes reason runs away 🙂

Anyhow, I know have the Jaffa gate and the Lions gate. They both came nicely boxed and in capsules. The designs are beautiful on both sides and I hope one day to be able to pick up the other 4 coins.

Apologies for the poor quality snaps!
