  2. Maybe we have l just bought into the vicious rumour re portrait release today?? Has anyone seen an emall from the royal mint informing of a new release today??
  3. Has anyone received an email informing of the next coin release in the G. E. Series?? I haven't but I dfid for the first quartered arms release.
  4. Agreed. Pre 1920 constitutional silver (.925) tends to be much more worn than the pre-1947 50% silver coinage.
  5. Congrats! That's a sight to behold! I feel proud just looking at it! Sure you must be. Please look regularly and enjoy, after all of the time and expense, It doesn't cost anything to look now! Thanks for sharing this.
  6. That for sure is a beautiful set! Well done. Nice pickup!
  7. Hi GDD, whilst enjoying the thread I cannot figure out themeaning of SOTD?? First guesses Were: -Sale of the day Followed by - Speak of the devil. Google search didn't help out either. Please enlighten me!! Cheers in advance Phil

  9. The 1989 istge hands down winner imo! I have drooled over it many a time on ebay but never quite justified the price, as im a stacker at heart. Then followed by the 2002 which I own the 3 coin set. Nice photos. Thanks.
  10. Yes that be great. I have sone gillicks tucked away with the Victoria sovs so I will dig them out n maybe enjoy a little more!
  11. Thanks for that wedtminstrel. The wonderful yellow gold when compared with the coppery sovereigns is just gorgeous. I do wish that the R. M. Would replace much of the copper in sovereigns with silver to give them the loverly buttery gold colour of the earlier victorian sovs.
  12. Very Nice video. Stunning gold beauty. May i ask., is patina not something normally acquired with age rather than a new coin?
  13. Great photography on those pics. It is a beautiful coin for sure!
  14. Stecking and collecting. Good man! Welcome.
  15. Congrats man. I'm sharing that same feeling!! Second RM coin after the 1oz Completer. Caffeine and a successful purchase - what a buzz! What a Beauty of a coin. I bought a couple of the original gothic florins 6-12 months ago as I had just discovered the and loved them, only to hear about this coin soon after. So chuffed to have one in the post for January! 😁😁
  16. Was able to bag a 2 oz silver no option of continuity portrait and no other coins left. Started out at 910 in the queue. Purchased at 10.10am. Chuffed as a newbie to this gorgeous series!
