  3. Rare to find these as genuine coins, here is a 1914 “S” San Francisco mint, rare $5 Indian Head design half eagle. Designated “AU Details, Cleaned” by NGC. I had selected this coin raw in the US and sent for grading. It’s a 90% gold, 10% copper US pre-33 coin, with an original mintage of 263,000 coins. As an example of the stunning incuse design it’s a superb collectors coin. Reduced to £550 with RM Special Delivery, or postage to be agreed for non UK buyers. By the way - if you are interested in the ungraded 1964 2Rand and the 2014 sovereign , head over to my listing in the “ UK Ungraded “ section 😀 Cheers Lindeman
  4. Both coins in black ringed Airtites. A 1964 South African Mint gold 2R two Rand coin. 5. No discussion about a coin’s provenance when it’s in its little Apmex bag!

  7. A bit of joy back from NGC~ after multiple attempts at selecting and sending in raw coins, finally an MS70 QB gold 1/4 Horse of Hanover. This one completes my set of all ten original QB bullion quarters in MS70. And a 69 as a worthy runner up!
  8. Not yet of my coin, but just sharing the Apmex link here, it’s the usual Libertad proof design again for 2021. Sold out now for the 1/4 Proof, but they have 9 left of the BU version, for $703 each. https://www.apmex.com/product/240872/2021-mexico-1-4-oz-proof-gold-libertad
  9. A proof 1/4 ounce 2021 gold Mexican Libertad. Been watching and waiting for them to appear since…2021. As ever, Banco de Mexico and distributors keep us on tenterhooks.
  10. For those of you (like me…) that are always waiting for their release, today was the day Apmex in the US put most of the 2021 gold proof Libertads up for sale on their site. Some already sold out (both reverse proofs and the quarter oz) , but a few still left for other sizes. They will not be there for long - probably minutes, not hours !!
  11. Been looking for this one for a while, the elusive 2014 gold Libertad proof 1/4 oz, graded PF70. At only 250 coins, the lowest mintage in the series (tied with 2020). Now just waiting for the next hunt for the 2021 proofs …
  12. Back from the graders - a nice PF70 silver Completer. Still annoyed though that the set of 10 QBs became 11…but I will get over it. 😳 Lindeman
  13. Wow - I had not heard that rumour @Bruce06 / glad I just bought a few 2021s then ! Give the young cygnets a chance …I say. How dare the Aussies pollute the air and stop the series ! 😇
  14. Yes - I do see the risk that there is a limited number of ways they can depict the swan , but mind you they have shown the Kook for decades on trees, wires, houses etc. We can’t really expect “swan on the tree, swan on the road, swan down the farm, swan flying to town” designs ….so we may have to hope for a few with cygnets etc ! 😆 No doubt about the coin quality though. I don’t think the proofs are worth collecting though.
  15. Not much said about these, but I like them and the series is shaping up quite well in my opinion, running along with its big brothers from Perth like the Kookaburra series. Anyone else a fan? I like the quality of the PM bullion coins , and I never worry about milk spots or quality issues. Pic here of them since the first in 2017 (top row 2017-2019; lower row 2020, 2021). Lindeman
  16. These big silver Krug proofs don’t get much attention, but I am a fan. Sure…the design is not likely to change anytime soon, and a mintage of 10,000 but it’s still a nice shiny piece of metal😀.
  17. I had exactly the same situation earlier this year when buying gold Libertads from on of the German dealers. After ignoring the first two demands (from FedEx via post and GTSClearance@fedex.com) I got someone on the phone who told me to email them at UKinvoicequery@fedex.com with the info. I did all that , explaining that bullion is not subject to import taxes etc and sat back assuming all was solved. Then it all started up again with the debt collector mail! Thanks for the idea to reclaim via HMRC because I have to confess I just gave up in the end and paid the bloody invoices. As to whether it’s reasonable to expect foreign dealers to know the intricacies of the exemption codes …doubtful. But I would like them to use a bit more common sense - and be a bit more “economical with the truth” when describing contents! In that regard I do like the way most US dealers are used to using bland packaging, and vague words like “machine parts” when shipping 😉. Just part of the joys of PM collecting I guess.
  18. Thought I had finished until the Completer came along…so one more still to get! It’s off to NGC already. Still - happy that I started these back in 2017
  19. Some Mexican Libertad joy….back from NGC: the elusive 2020 gold. Not complaining😇, but 70 on the 1/4 proof was what I really really wanted, but I am just happy to have even found one of them at all, so a 69 it is. Lovely little MS70 1/10ths.
  20. 2021 5 Sov, matt BU. Nice touch to have the Pistrucci added, as well as the crown privy.
