If they said "the value is in the silver itself and a slight scuff to the packaging will not affect any future sale of the item", then that's disingenuous if they accepted your first return.
However, I'm pretty sure there's nothing wrong with your packaging. I've just looked at my Geiger capsules and they all have a similar mark along one edge (to varying degrees). It's where the capsules are broken off from the injection moulding sprues. 

Are the marks not from where the sprues have been removed? Like on RM capsules, they always have a jaggy bit on the edge somewhere.

They could make the valid argument that you bought an investment silver bar and the packaging is incidental...
It would all depend on how it was advertised. I did notice that Atkinsons emphasise that is is bullion quality on their site. 🙄 When dealers do this it is generally to absolve them of any responsibility as to the condition of the item.
'You are entitled to return any product that you are dissatisfied with to us, however we will not be responsible for any postal charges. If we find that the goods you have returned are of satisfactory quality the return of the goods to yourself will be subject to a return postal charge'
Looking at the terms above it looks like you would have to pay to return the bar and, potentially, they could send it straight back and charge you for the privilege. Due to those absurd conditions i would probably just keep it...

Hi I purchased a 100g silver Geiger bar from Atkinsons. It arrived with a rough edge at the bottom. Is that acceptable? See attached photo.

The assay card on the left does actually have a transparent film on there and when I peel it back slightly it is still a different shade of green to the other.  I will look into getting this sigma tested, yes Backyard Bullion I watch his channel and believe he is a trusted member. 
It’s reassuring that James32 has not come across a fake royal mint 1g bar. I usually buy my precious metals from the reputable sites, it’s only these 2 1g bars that I have bought from eBay and more then likely will not be buying gold from eBay again.  Thanks 365, I have actually purchased these bars. The image on the left it was the quality\clarity of the text and Royal Mint logo that made me question its authenticity but the gold bar itself looks flawless just like the other one.  Thank you all again and this has been a good learning experience for myself.    
 

 

Hi, can someone please help me. I have started stacking this year and after watching many YouTube videos I saw some gold bar designs that were no longer available and could only be bought on eBay. These are the 1g gold royal mint bars in the green and gold blister pack. After buying 2 from different sellers and comparing them I can see the the shade of green is different on each blister card and the font on one of them is not as sharp\neat as the other. Am I looking too much into it or is one of the gold bars a fake. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
